My Recommendations: Skills and Services for Growth

The following resources were helpful for me in my journey with the Lord, especially in leadership.

I hope that you might find these resources helpful for you too.

Counselling Skills

Learn skills to enrich your journey with others.

I do not have professional counselling certifications – i.e. the license to counsel for a living.

How I started picking up counselling skills was the desire to know how to respond to people in hurt.

I’ve explored various modalities such as Person Centered Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy.

While I have developed my sense of empathy and perspective of counselling through practicing these modalities with people I want to help, there has been none as life changing as Choice Theory and Reality Therapy.

I have, in essence, taken charge of my life after going through the Basic and Advanced course, and finally graduating as CT/RTC.

Shoutout to Evelyn Koh and Cheryl Lee from In Focus Counseling & Therapy Services.

Much of the Internal Control Psychology language that I’m using on this page was learnt from my journey with them.

They were very detailed, very in focused in seeing each of us classmates to success (taking control of our life).

Why I prefer Choice Theory over other modalities I've learnt

Choice Theory goes beyond helping people feel better. It is also about helping others discover choices that are responsible, realistic, and right.
I had difficulties finding access to counselling education without going into a degree study. Choice Theory was the only one that  accepts everyone  with the willingness to commit towards quality.
